About the working group
NeuroQSP is a community of modelers, pharmacologists, and neuroscientists working to make quantitative, mechanistic modeling a standard part of how CNS therapies are discovered and developed.
Our mission
We combine mechanistic modeling, pharmacology, and human neuroscience to improve decision-making in brain drug discovery — translating molecular mechanisms into clinical outcomes.
Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) has transformed how many therapeutic areas reason about dose, mechanism, and response. The brain has lagged — its models are fragmented across disciplines that use different tools, vocabularies, and data. NeuroQSP exists to close that gap and build workflows practitioners can actually use.
The scope of our work
Each captures part of the path from drug to effect. NeuroQSP connects them.
PBPK, PKPD, and systems-biology models that describe how a molecule reaches the brain, engages its target, and perturbs downstream pathways.
Computational neuroscience — biophysical neurons, networks, and electrophysiology — translating molecular perturbations into neural activity.
EEG/MEG, imaging, and behavior that anchor models to measurable, clinically meaningful signals in real patients.
